Under the pseudonym of “Freedomatik” hides a an artist whose path is already long and winding.

London garage punk musician, French variety-pop-rock singer, playing the guitar (and sometimes writing lyrics and music) for different musical colors artists, all interspersed with periods of pauses and reflections, of return on oneself, of look at the world (by discovering photography for example).

The music always ends up catching up with him.

Collector of effects pedals like many guitarists, it is by spending time to make tests, adjustments, mixtures that he gradually builds a “pedalboard” which enables him to produce sound atmospheres, sometimes tense, quasi industrial, sometimes more soaring or psychedelic.

The confinements of the year 2020 will be the trigger for the album “Quarantine Industrial Brainstomp”. Locked up at home, he locks himself up to let the sounds he makes with his pedals go according to his ideas and desires.

After having spent years in the studios manipulating computer keyboard and mouse, here he is again, rediscovering the pleasure of turning real knobs, pressing pedals, engaging switches, watching lights blink while listening to all the sounds that can be produced by this “machine”. Like a real electronic instrument...

After a few home-made video clips, he is already working on the next step. Adding new pedals for new atmospheres, but always in an “emergency” optic, going fast nearly like improvisation, with as few recording tracks as possible, as little post-production as possible, the least constraint and barrier...
